Well well, I popped yesterday for a visit to Francis' shop in Antwerpen and I am glad to find out he just put in place and connected the new floorstanders from Sonus Faber, the Venere 2.5 in glossy black. I had a lot of time to have a look and have a listen also. Units are brand new so not run-in yet.

The Cantons are stand-mounted monitors ($4000/pair in 2008), and the Revels ($1498/pair in 2006) are simply dowdy in comparison to the stylish Sonus Fabers. It was only a couple issues ago that I reviewed the smallest member of Sonus faber's newest series of entry-level loudspeakers, Venere.
